The Santiam Flycasters, Inc. is a group of men, women, and youths in the Salem area who have a common interest in fly fishing and have joined together to share their experiences and knowledge of the sport. The club was incorporated as a non-profit organization in March of 1977. The Santiam Flycasters, Inc. is affiliated with the Federation of Fly Fishers.
“We actively support the Salem chapter of Project Healing Waters, which is an organization for our wounded warriors, that utilizes fly tying and fly fishing as an integral part of ongoing physical and emotional therapy”, says Howard Palmer, President. “In addition, we work with numerous youth groups to teach fly tying and fly fishing.”
In addition to monthly meetings, they conduct twice monthly fishing trips to the many rivers and lakes that we are blessed with throughout Oregon. They also provide fly tying demonstrations throughout the area on request. www.santiamflycasters.com

With her trusty keyboard, guitar, uke or flute in hand; Kathy has recorded seven albums with an awareness that familiar melodies can reassure, give joy, clear the mind, and soothe the spirit.
